The Desert Vista varsity volleyball team went to a tournament last weekend,finishing with a record. In a total of 33 matches, Desert Vista went 18-15.

During the tournament DV went up against the following schools Hamilton high school, Canyon Crest High School, Ventura, Eastlake, King, and Frentiu.

Six of the girls from our team of 15 have partial to full scholarships all across the United States. One of the team captains, Hailey Dirrigl, has a full ride to Arkansa. Alexis Goroski, has a three year scholarship with Montana State. Kendall Glover also has a three year scholarship to the University of  Georgia. Morgan Schreckler has a full ride to New Mexico. Abigail Hansen has a scholarship to ASU. Finally, Tyler Gebhart has a partial to PNL.

As the tournament ended the successful team got back into the game and played another game against the Gilbert Tigers on Tuesday Oct. 18, 2016. As the season winds down, the girls will try to win their last stretch of games.
