Desert Vista senior Tyler Gebhart was just recently accepted to Point Loma Nazarene University for volleyball in San Diego, California.

“I am beyond excited, it will be a new chapter in my volleyball career”, says Gebhart,” Maybe later on down the road I will be a coach but I don’t  know yet.”

Gebhart says that the team is like one big family and they play very well together.

“At the beginning there were a lot of new faces but now that we have worked out the kinks we are playing very well together”, says Gabhart.

Tyler says that her experience with Desert vista volleyball has been sublime and would not change anything.

“My experience has been great and I have improved so much in my three years and I would not change my experience for anything.”, says Gebhart.

Gebhart is going into her seventh year playing volleyball and her third year playing at Desert Vista. She transferred from Casa Grande Union High School during second semester but she did not play as a freshman.

Desert Vista has won state for the past two years against Hamilton and Xavier, they plan to continue that streak.

“We have won state two years in a row and we are going for another one, so everyone wants to take us out as soon as they can.” says Gebhart, “There are target son our backs, but if we all work together we can do it again.
