Izzy Deutsch accepted to the University of Hawaii

Desert Vista senior Izzy Deutsch was recently accepted to the University of Hawaii in Manoa, Hawaii.

“It was so relieving to finally figure out where i was going to college!”, says Deutsch, “The recruitment process and trying to get seen by coaches is so hectic and can get a bit stressful. It allowed me to really just focus on my game. Also not having to worry about applying to a bunch of colleges and having the stress of if I got in or not and waiting is super nice.”

Deutsch plans on playing throughout college, but she plans on taking on another career after college.

“Even though they are almost polar opposites,” says Deutsch, “I either plan on going into dermatology or international business. I have always been really into health and skin, and it would be really cool if I could pursue that. But I also learned that I am very into business and Hawaii is a very good place for international business.”

Izzy says that the team works together very well and they have grown close throughout the years that they have know each other.

“The team connects very well together!,” says Deutsch, “Most of the seniors have played with each other for the past eight years with club and high school soccer. This season has really been so much fun.”

Izzy is going into her ninth year playing soccer and her fourth year playing at Desert Vista. Deutsch says that she has had a great experience with Desert Vista soccer and would definitely recommend it to any soccer players at Desert Vista.

“My experience has been great,” says Deutsch,” It’s definitely been unforgettable and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.Winning state was probably one of the best days of my life last year. When you are playing with Desert Vista soccer it feels like one, big family.”
