Stitching More Than Memories

Ten years ago, Theresa Miceli, a sophomore, started her long-time passion of crochet. Her grandmother, who had been a major influence in her life, taught her everything she knows beginning at the young age of five. “She taught me crochet at a young age” Theresa says, “It became something we could do together even when we were over two thousand miles apart”. After her Grandmother had passed, Theresa continued to crochet as a way to honor her memory and she thinks of her grandmother every time she picks up a hook. Today, she crochets Afghans to donate to her church as a way to help her community.
