Some women hope to receive a passionate and enchanting day on February 14^th.

Others want something simple on this day of love, just like Desert Vista freshman Tricity Buen.

Buen would love to receive just a box of chocolate and maybe even a flower; nothing extraordinary.

“I don’t want them to think that I need gifts and money just to be happy,” said Buen.

On the contrary, some females may even ask for “the world”.

“I would want to get candy, a huge teddy bear, some flowers, maybe even a movie, some nice jewelry, and yeah. Perrrrrrfect!” said sophomore Kira Green, as she counted the gifts on her fingers.

On the other hand, many people do not think that it is necessary to even celebrate Valentine’s Day. They would love to spend this lovely day with their spouse or “lover”, having a great time and cherishing the times they will have together. On occasion, people will just spend it with their family members because they are the ones they love also.

“I spend it with my mama and myself,” said Green.

While some people spend it with their family or friends, others may just spend it alone.

“I’m gonna just be chilling alone, man,” said sophomore Ze’ver McGary.

To put it briefly, many people do believe the female should not ask the male to be their Valentine.

“No, why should the girl ask the guy? I always think the guy should ask the girl for whatever the reason,” said freshman Rodrigo Corona.

People can celebrate this holiday with their own spouse, friend or friends, and possibly even family, as long as it is with the ones they love. Everyone has their own idea of a perfect Valentine’s Day and their own special opinions for this day.
