Five celebrity presidential candidates

Usually, politicians run for office.  Recently there has been a lot of commotion about celebrities running for president, so here are a few of celebrity presidential candidates.

 

  1. Kanye West

During his acceptance speech at the 2015 VMA’s Kanye West delivered a surprising announcement, he would be running for President in 2020.  He was greeted with roaring applause.  Although some people are rather skeptical of what a rapper can do for this country, some have been really accepting saying that they never voted but they will if someone more well known runs for president.  There is no further detail about what he plans to do while in office, but it would for sure be, unique.

 

  1. Lindsay Lohan  

Another major celeb announcing a future presidential campaign is lindsay Lohan.  A post on social media read “in #2020 I may run for president.  Through ups and downs #YESWECAN let’s do this @kanyewest #true spirits thank you for inspiring us to be better people.”  If the parent trapped star makes it into office she will be the youngest president ever.

 

3.Deez Nuts

This candidate is literally nuts.  Brady Olson at only 15 years old made an announcement in August 2015 stating that he will be running for president in 2020.  Although not actually eligible for presidency, he was among the quickest candidates to earn support from potential voters.

 

  1. Roseanne Barr

In 2012, Roseanne Barr ran for office and almost won.  The comedian ran in the peace and Freedom Party and gained a total of 50,000 votes.  She received a lot of bad media with comments saying she would be a form of punishment if elected as President.  The star of “Roseanne” took sixth place in the 2012 race.  She took the loss rather well saying on twitter “Congratulations Obama! #Barr2016”

 

  1. Waka Flocka Flame

Atlanta rapper, Juaquin James Malphurs or Waka Flocka Flame announced that he would be running for office.  At only 28 he is 7 years shy of the minimum of 35 years old.  Despite the fact that he is too young he also has some pretty interesting ideas for when he is president.  The first thing he would do: legalize marijuana.  Waka Flocka Flame also wants to put a ban on dogs in restaurants and people with over size 13 feet would not be allowed to walk on the sidewalk.
