Where to volunteer this summer

There is a limited amount of places that offer volunteering opportunities with an age limit of 15 or 16. Here is a list of 4 locations that have continuous volunteering options for high school volunteers.

 

  1. Arizona Humane Society – Sunnyslope: To volunteer at the animal shelter, you must be at least 16, to start volunteering you are required to attend an orientation and training class. Arizona Museum of Natural History: The Arizona Museum of Natural History offers numerous positions for high school volunteers, from working the in the museum store or manning the gold panning activity.   1. Peer tutor: For this option, talk to the school counselor about doing formal peer tutoring, if not, just have a parent or teacher sign something to prove that it was done to get hours.
