DV Blood Drive 2015

Wednesday, April 2nd, Desert Vista High School’s Key Club held its annual blood drive from 8:15 to 1 pm for students, ages 16 and up to get the chance to donate blood through United Blood Services.

The blood drive was a success with over 134 students scheduled to donate.

“I do not know the exact numbers of donors, but we had 134 people scheduled to donate. Five to ten of those students did not show, and five to ten adults (usually the parents of club members) and a few available seniors also donated.” said Mr. Olson, the Key Club’s sponsor.

United Blood Services is a non-profit organization based in Arizona that gathers blood through donations. Desert Vista has been donating with United Blood Services for the past 8-10 years.
