Virgin Galactic’s new spaceliner

Virgin Galactic has finished its second model of their commercial spaceliner. Last year, Virgin Galactic created it first model, the SpaceShip2,  which broke apart during test flight. The incident killed one of their best pilots and seriously injured the other. Despite the tragedy, the spaceflight company forged ahead, constructing a second model. The newest model, the VSS Unity, was unveiled several weeks ago. Virgin stated within a run-up before the unveiling that the systems and pieces within the vehicle were tested for years prior construction. Over 700 people have signed up for a $250,000 ticket for a seat on the world’s first commercial spaceflight, but a date for takeoff, or “launch”, has yet to be set. Virgin Galactic is still working out details, such as food service, but plan on using the spacecraft soon.
