Vista Victories and ‘Ventures

January ended with many triumphs for Desert Vista High School. On Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th, Northwest Regionals were held at Desert Vista, and 32 students made it into the competitive orchestra. Around twenty high schools participated. Two band students also qualified. Regionals will take place during February at Camelback High School.

“I’m surprised to have made it,” Freshman Nathan Zhang said. “Region is highly selective and so many high schools are participating. Everyone said it was extremely competitive and only five french horn players were allowed to be qualified.”
