Immigration has sparked a lot of controversy in the news.  People are starting to think that immigrants should not be allowed in the United States, but, aren’t they still human?

A poll online suggested that 73% of voters were in favor of allowing immigrants in the United States, while the other 27% voted against the immigrants.  Those in favor of keeping immigration legal state that immigrants are just as good as Americans and should be given a chance to succeed, just as we were given.  On debate.org a comenter stated “ these people want to succed they want to have a shining carrer and here in America is such a big help with free eductaion it helps these people more we should be supporting them not be hating them.”

They also argue that America was built on immigrants, originally the United States was land of the Native Americans, and most immigrants have ancestors that helped build this country to what it is today.  Also, our workforce in America consists of 20% of immigrants.

Those against immigration argue that they cause more harm then they help, they crowd prisons and take jobs.  People who were born in the United States have just as much opportunity if not more than immigrants.  Although some immigrants are criminals, those are the only ones people here about so automatically, they will be biased against immigrants, why do people assume that immigrants are horrible people even though they are trying to get a better life for themselves.
