Hey DV, meet Carson White. A student at DesertVista who has a huge passion for sports. Today we ask him why and who inspires him to play sports.

“Um, the person that mainly inspires me now to play sports is my brother Chase who passed away from an illness,” Carson said.  “That’s like, that’s my motivation and stuff. Not only my love for the game, just loving doing what I’m doing is yeah, he like, he just motivates me to do it and get better.”

Now that we know Carson in his big passion for sports. Did we ask him, which is his favorite football or basketball? Of course!

“Um, really depends, like, whichever one I like better football,” he said. “Basketball really depends on the season. Yeah, like right now even going into the basketball season, football is just like from my heart and I was a first-year quarterback. The pressure that I got, it was just fun. And it’s just like, I’m gonna quote Spencer right now on this Pinnacle. Pinnacle High School quarterback. The pressure is a privilege and it says, ‘Yeah!’”

We couldn’t imagine being a quarterback with all the pressure, but Carson handles it well. Maybe because he likes to get hyped by his favorite music artist named, Juice Wrld.

“Umm like, I feel like I really started listening to Juice Wrld like, right after, like when Lucid Dreams started, like you heard it on the radio a lot,” he said. “Yeah. I listened to him. And just every song just started to just hit and I just loved his voice and the music he made. And just like why it’s just like, I just love his music and it just like gets me. Yeah, you talk about and stuff and just like relatable stuff and just like he makes some really good music. In my opinion at least.”
