Meet Gunnar Gocke, is a freshman at Desert Vista Highschool. When you meet Gunnar you will get to know that he has a strong passion for soccer. 

“Probably my sports life, because I mean, I take it pretty seriously. And it’s a good getaway for me. And it just helps me forget all my life problems” Gunnar said. 

This passion has been growing for years. Gunnar also mentioned how it all started,

 “And I just remember like, it was halftime, and me and my dad went to go kick the ball around, and he wanted me to play football. But I was only six when I started”. 

While Gunnar has many strengths he also has weaknesses.

“I usually put homework aside and wait until it is eventually late,” said Gunnar.

This is something Gunnar wants to work on in the future. 

“I could use my phone for reminders” he mentioned.

One of Gunnar’s accomplishments is not surprisingly, soccer. 

“My most proud accomplishment was making it to ECNL. It’s a national league for soccer, and it’s very competitive. And it can help me get noticed” said Gunnar.
